Summary:
The Pharmacy Technician Oncology compounds non-hazardous and hazardous sterile preparations for the Cancer Center infusion & injection clinics. Performs inventory management duties including ordering, receiving, stocking, and wasting of hazardous and non-hazardous medications. Maintains the sterile compounding area including daily, weekly and monthly cleaning and disinfection activities.

Responsibilities:

The Pharmacy Technician Oncology compounds non-hazardous and hazardous sterile preparations for the Cancer Center infusion & injection clinics.

Performs inventory management duties including ordering, receiving, stocking, and wasting of hazardous and non-hazardous medications.

Maintains the sterile compounding area including daily weekly and monthly cleaning and disinfection activities.

Performs inventory maintenance duties including purchasing, receiving, stocking, and wasting of pharmaceuticals.

Compounds parenteral hazardous and non-hazardous sterile compounded preparations.

Provides customer service: answering phone calls.

Maintains sterile compounding rooms.

Other duties as assigned.
