Job Description
Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Pharmacy Technician II at our Main Campus location.
The Pharmacy Department utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, where the emphasis is on therapeutic efficacy and safety. We provide comprehensive, clinical, and dispensing services. The department has one of the most robust sets of electronic clinical resources in the country and a dynamic medication safety program.
Across the Center, we review 1.5 million orders per year and dispense over three million doses of medication annually. The Pharmacy Department has more than 450 employees, with approximately 300 pharmacists servicing patients in 26 pharmacy satellites, including inpatient unit-based satellites in all oncological specialties.
Memorial Sloan Kettering provides free, live, onsite, accredited continuing education pharmacy courses to help keep your credentials up to date. The department will also sponsor national and state membership for pharmacy organizations and appropriate off-site educational meetings. Role Overview:
- Perform Inventory management (ordering, receiving, stocking).
- Demonstrate proficiency with appropriate pharmacy equipment, systems, and technology.
- Assist with pharmacy inspections.
- Adhere to State and Federal regulations and Pharmacy Policies and Procedures.
- Compounding medications including chemotherapy in a clean room.
- Restocking supplies for the clean room
- Occasional deliveries to satellite locations
- Receiving and unpacking drug orders and supplies
- Any other pharmacy operational task needed for patient care.
- Complete annual competency assessments.
- Triage phone calls with courtesy and promptness and refer to a pharmacist when applicable.
- Maintain pharmacy files and records.
Key Qualifications:
- HS Diploma/GED with 2+ years of clinic/hospital experience preferred.
- PTCB or NHA Technician Certification (CPhT) required.
- Although prior chemotherapy experience is not required, having strong IV compounding skills is beneficial.

- Reporting to: Manager, Pharmacy
- Location: Main Campus
- Shift Details: 37.5 hours per week Sunday to Saturday. Shifts, hours, and weekends vary to meet the needs of the department
Pay Range: $25.65-$38.42
