Pharmacy Technician
The incumbent functions utilizing independent technical judgment and has a comprehensive working knowledge of complex pharmacy principles and practices. The pharmacy technician has operational responsibility in the inpatient and/or the outpatient pharmacy performing complex procedures such as compounding sterile products, compounding non-sterile products, preparing inpatient or outpatient orders or prescriptions, controlled substance management, and maintenance and care of automated equipment. Basic Requirements: United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
