The role you’ll contribute:
Primary responsibility is the provision of medication distributive functions and pharmacy operational tasks, which includes but is not limited to assisting the pharmacist with all duties of preparing and dispensing of medications, inventorymanagement, and regulatory compliance. Performs duties necessary for the effective daily operation of all department services and programs. Accurately responds to medication dispensing requests, prepares medications for pharmacist final review/check, delivers checked medications, and returns unused or expired medications to appropriate pharmacy areas. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all

o Standard work parameters

· Oversees appropriate utilization of medication automation, technology, and computer systems
· Accurately oversees the management of medication inventories and the preparation and delivery of patientâspecific medication doses

· Provides accurate, safe and timely medication therapy

What You Will Need:
- Registered Pharmacy Technician in Texas OR Texas Pharmacist Intern License
- Sterile Compounding Certification

QualificationsThe expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
· High School Grad or Equiv
· Texas Pharmacy Technician (RPT) OR Current, valid Texas Pharmacist Intern license
· MUST HAVE Sterile Compounding Certification
Preferred qualifications:
· Associates degree or technical degree in a related field or specific certification related to the position, preferably in a physical science, business or healthcare
· One year of contemporary hospital pharmacy, retail or ambulatory experience
· Current certification from Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or from the Institute for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ICPT)
