ChristianaCare is recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician Supervisor who will perform assigned functions with an emphasis on being a role model, leader, and subject matter expert in all aspects of pharmacy operations. Responsibilities will include training, orientation, and supervising of Pharmacy Technicians.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform duties outlined in the Inpatient Pharmacy Technician job description during call outs or when the department is short staffed
• Recommend opportunities for process improvement
• Participate in the selection and hiring of pharmacy caregivers. Orient, train, & complete onboarding checklists for new caregivers.
• Responsible for the performance management and evaluation of assigned Pharmacy Services caregivers
• Participate in the development and review/modification of policies and/or procedures
• Actively participates in performance improvement initiatives, management meetings, and Joint Commission readiness activities
• Develops and maintains positive relationships with key departmental customers to foster effective communication, problem-solving, and planning.
• Assist with the development, review, and modification of policies and procedures

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma required
• Bachelor's degree in health care or business-related field preferred
• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board certified (PTCB) required
• Maryland Pharmacy Technician license required
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Previous supervisor experience preferred
