Non-Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician
Responsible for compounding non-sterile pharmaceutical preparations under the supervision of the compounding pharmacist. Non-sterile compounding may include but is not limited to the compounding of capsules, oral liquids, topical medications, nasal preparations, suppositories, troches, tablet triturates or lollipops. Hormones and other potentially hazardous chemicals are used in non-sterile compounding. Position requires close attention to detail. Standards for accuracy and potency shall be consistently met. Compounding technician shall compound medication, fill and label prescriptions and prepackage bulk medications.
