Pharmacy Technician - Liberty Township Inpatient Pharmacy
40 hours/week - rotating hours - weekend rotation
Expected Starting Salary: 17.91 - 21.55
A technician who assists the pharmacist in certain activities such as medication profile reviews for drug incompatibilities, typing of prescription labels, prescription packaging, handling of purchase records, and inventory control, and may, where state law and hospital policy permit, dispense drugs to patients under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
Processing of Medication Orders
Performs unit dose preparation for cartfill and first doses.
Non-sterile compounding= including both hazardous and non-hazardous medications.
Sterile Compounding= including both hazardous and non-hazardous medications.
Utilize pharmacy automation to manage and process medication orders.
Receive and unpack wholesaler orders.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Certified via Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)or eligible for certification Registered with Ohio Board of Pharmacy as a Registered Pharmacy Technician.
ASHP accredited program graduate OR licensed as a Pharmacy Intern OR 1 year of pharmacy related experience
Preferred:
Sterile compounding experience
Inpatient Hospital experience
Experience with pharmacy automation
