POSITION SUMMARY Assist the pharmacist by filling physician orders for medications, mixes IV admixture solutions as required using aseptic technique in the Laminar Air Flow Hood, prepares and files charge slips and performs other related duties. Qualifications: MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent GED. Completion of formal education program which meets requirements for certification. PREFERRED EDUCATION: MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Prefer one year of acute care experience. REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Licensed by the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy. REQUIRED COURSE(S) TRAINING: Completion of the national certification exam (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATION: SPECIAL SKILLS: Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional periods of above average pressure. Must have basic computer skills. Excellent customer service skills. Must be willing to work in all areas of the pharmacy services as assigned.
